- Their name was inspired from a movie at the Royal cinema called “The Renegade”
- Pioneer arranger / composer: Jit Samaroo for 35 years until his passing in 2016
- Arrange / Composer: Duvone Stewart the only arranger to win 28 panorama competition wins, locally, regionally and internationally combined. Joined Amoco Renegades as a player in 1992 left and returned on January 7th 2012 and started arranging for Amoco Renegades and is currently the Musical Director and Arranger for the band. Dr. Jit Samaroo had a profound influence on him.
